Urgent Need for Eucharistic Ministers of Holy Communion (EMOHC)!Over the past few years, EMOHC numbers have declined due to concerns about COVID and a general decrease in availability. The reinstitution of the Common Cup on November 26-27 weekend increases the number of ministers needed for each Mass. Our best estimate is that we need 40 additional ministers. The only requirement is that you need to be a confirmed Catholic over 16 years of age and in good standing with the parish.
We have two training sessions planned for new ministers, and current ministers are welcome to attend as a refresher for serving as a cup minister. Training sessions are Sunday, Nov. 13 after the 11 a.m. Mass and Saturday, Nov. 19 from 10-11 a.m. Both sessions will be in the Chapel.
