The 2021 March for Life was originally scheduled for January 29, but it will be a virtual event this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Since the March for Life is not occurring in person this year, the Basilica of Saint Mary will have Eucharistic Adoration for the unborn on Friday, January 29.
Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament will begin after the 8:00 am Mass at roughly 8:30 am. Adoration will continue until 12:00 pm. After the 12:10 pm Mass, we will have a Holy Hour featuring Eucharistic Adoration, recitation of the Divine Mercy Chaplet and prayers for the unborn.
At 2:30 pm, parishioners will pray the Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary at Market Square in front of the Alexandria City Hall. Market Square is located two-and-a-half blocks from the Basilica at 300 King Street.
