In the course of the common labour market policy of recent years, the EU member states have not succeeded in reducing long-term unemployment. This has a serious impact on those suffering from unemployment, on society and on the economy. Can an EU job guarantee help to achieve full employment in the EU? How can public employment programmes help to reduce long-term unemployment, reduce poverty, stabilise the economy and contribute to a fair green and digital transition? Should the EU provide the financial means to help Member States fund public employment projects? During the event, these questions will be discussed and the results of recent research and various projects will be presented.
