About this Event
BKirk Dance welcomes you to our second evening-length work, Etymology of Being.
This work contains five separate sections with each company member choreographing a piece where their name serves as inspiration – looking into etymology, meaning, symbolism, and their relationship to their own name.
Four additional dancers from the Seattle dance scene have also been invited to explore this theme in a short form by creating solos to be presented throughout the evening investigating the "inspired by your name" prompt in whatever way makes sense for them.
