OsuTo all Christchurch Seido Karateka this invitation is sent on behalf of Eiko Hanshi Renzie (Shibu), Jun Shihan Scott (New Brighton) and Senpai Dale (Rolleston).
The Seido values/principles and the etiquette that sits alongside these are the foundation of our training and interactions with each other. It is critical that we all have some understanding of what these values/principles are and knowledge around the etiquette that guides us as Seido karateka.
To enhance this understanding, I will be facilitating 2 workshops where we discuss as a group our understanding and knowledge of the above. We will also explore why these 2 things are critical and the Skills, Personal Growth and Safety within our Heirachial system (Ranked, Graded, Tiered) that they provide.
All of us are on a journey together within Seido and these workshops will give us all regardless of rank the opportunity to learn or revisit what we know and understand about the foundation our training stands on.
I have arranged the following times and dates for the workshops and put 1 on a weekday evening and 1 on a Weekend morning to provide the best opportunity for full participation.
Monday 24th June-2024 6pm-7pm (Osu Thankyou Eiko Hanshi for allowing this during your normal class time)
Sunday 30th June 9am-10am
Expectation
You only need to attend 1 workshop as they will have the same structure and content.
# Please wear comfortable warm clothing ( No Ghi’s)

Truth;Honesty;Sincerity;Love;Respect;Obedience. What do these mean to you?
What Etiquette are you aware of? Explore this a bit with other Karateka and if you are instructing classes share your knowledge with your class before the workshops and explore your student’s combined knowledge.
