About this Event
Coffee is more than a drink—it’s a gathering.
Saturday 6th December 2-4pm
Across Ethiopia, coffee isn’t simply prepared; it’s shared in a rich tradition that brings people together. In a traditional Coffee Ceremony, the youngest woman of the household begins the ceremony by washing and roasting fresh green coffee beans in front of guests, filling the space with the unforgettable aroma of roasting coffee.
The beans are then coarsely ground, gently brewed in a traditional clay pot, and left to settle before being poured into small cups. While the coffee brews, conversation flows. Guests are served popcorn, sweet bread, or roasted barley and chickpeas—simple, comforting foods that complete the ritual of connection.
This ceremony is more than the making of coffee; it’s a moment of community, respect, and togetherness.
Come join us, share stories, meet new friends, and experience this timeless tradition—one cup at a time.
Your £5 ticket is going towards raising funds for the Farm and covers you for multiple cups of coffee! This is a drop in event so you can come for the whole two hours or pop in at any time. We're looking forward to seeing you!
