This 1.5-hour workshop is designed for therapists who want to deepen their understanding of ethical considerations in private practice. The workshop will cover a range of topics, including:
- Ethical principles: The four main ethical principles (beneficence, non-maleficence, autonomy, and justice) and how they apply to private practice.
- Common ethical dilemmas: Examples of common ethical dilemmas that therapists may face, such as dual relationships, confidentiality, and informed consent.
- Ethical decision-making: A framework for making ethical decisions, including how to identify ethical issues, gather information, consider options, and weigh the risks and benefits.
- Ethical documentation: The importance of ethical documentation in private practice, including what to document and how to document it.
By the end of this workshop, therapists will have a better understanding of their ethical obligations and be equipped to navigate the complexities of private practice.
