About this Event
Each year MidCoast Council in conjunction with Department of Climate Change, the Environment, Energy and Water (DCCEEW) undertake monitoring of our estuaries to assess their ecological health.
This year's results will be released in November at a special estuary workshop.
Scientists from DCCEEW and Australian Universities will join us at Forster Civic Centre to talk more about what’s happening in our lakes and rivers. They will also be sharing some of the exciting research that is taking place in our waterways, including more information on sponges, mangroves and shellfish reefs.
Following this we will be heading out onto beautiful Wallis Lake for a cruise up the Wallamba River.
Lunch will be provided.
Spaces are limited and bookings are essential.
