The route of the headwaters of the Palancia River is very beautiful and here we will cross the famous Cascajar Narrows, a gorge with water sections and where we can, at times, touch both walls with our hands at the same time. The Cascajar Strait is the most beautiful part of the route, with very dense vegetation formed by willows, poplars, and elms. In the stretch before the gorge, the riparian shrub vegetation invades the path, to the point where you don’t know if you are on a route near Valencia or if you have appeared in Jurassic Park. Finally, you reach the gorge, which is beautiful, and although at times it may not have much water, when we visited there were sections that reached almost up to the waist. The place definitely deserves a place among the most picturesque and beautiful in our routes through the Valencian Community.
