Esthetic Concepts in Implant Dentistry

Course Description:

Description and review of concepts related to dental implants in an esthetic zone. This presentation will include hard and soft tissue considerations for long term maintenance of peri-implant health. Implants in an esthetic area are considered complex due to a variety of reasons. A clinician needs to consider various aspects such as ridge dimensions, smile line, soft tissue quality, implant position, papilla height among others, when placing implants in an esthetic region.

Meet the Speaker: HimaBindu Dukka, BDS, MSD, MPH

Dr. Dukka is an assistant professor in the Department of Diagnosis and Oral Health at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. Dr. Dukka received her dental degree from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences in India. She did her residency in Periodontics at the Indiana University School of Dentistry in Indianapolis, IN. Dr. Dukka also completed her Master of Public Health, focusing on Epidemiology, from the Fairbanks School of Public Health in Indianapolis. Dr. Dukka is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and has several publications in highly reputable journals. She is involved in pre-and post-doctoral periodontal education and maintains a private practice limited to periodontics and implant dentistry

Course Topics & Objectives: 

At the conclusion of this course, participants will:


1. Assess and evaluate the complexity of cases.


2. Identify potential issues prior to treatment.


3. Develop a comprehensive treatment plan

Exact email is necessary REGISTRATION CANCELLATION: Tuition is refundable if a course is canceled by  the Office of CE. A $50 fee will be assessed for any course  cancellation.  All payments by check or cash are deposited into the Texas A&M account  and CANNOT be refunded.  “No Shows” for a course  forfeit all tuition. Confirm notification of cancellation by e-mail. The CE Office cannot be held responsible for a  non-refundable airline ticket.
