The summer Hawarden Old Castle open day will take place at 10am to 3pm on Sunday 2nd March 2025.Access the Old Castle and The Walled Garden from the big blue gates opposite The Glynne Arms in the centre of Hawarden village, or from the entrance at Hawarden Estate Farm Shop.
The Old Castle is a nationally important, Grade I listed monument, which is only open for a handful of days each year. Explore this historic site and take in breathtaking views across Hawarden Estate, North Wales and the Cheshire Plains.
PLUS! Take a look at our brand new space, The Conservatory and The Walled Garden, both a stone’s throw from The Old Castle, and key new parts of our working estate.

All children must be accompanied. Paths up to the castle are steep and uneven. Dogs are welcome on leads.
