Doors open at 8am for you to set up for the day, we ask kindly that you do not arrive earlier than this as the track build will be taking place. When you come in please pit where you like, unless told otherwise and queue with people you wish to pit close to so this is a smooth and start to the day. A 4ft or 5ft table is perfect for a single person pitting. After you have set up, please can you park your car in the overflow carpark (this is located 100m down the road, as you turn left out the main carpark, it will then be on your right).A provisional heat listing will be posted on the Saturday afternoon/evening before the event on our website, please ensure you are aware of what heat you are in as practice is run in heat order. If you are in Heat 1 you will be on track at 8.30, so please be prepared for this and if you are the top heat of qualifying you will also need to be ready at 8.30 to marshal. Once you have had your 5 minute practice run we expect you to marshal straight after to ensure everyone gets as much track time as possible. When marshalling we expect you to wear your own hi vis and work gloves and ask you to NOT stand on the jumps as we do not want to have to repair damaged features on the day and may result having to remove the jump.
Booking in is carried out by simply doing your practice run. We run a system whereby as your car crosses the line your PT registers and lets us know you are in attendance. If you do not take part in practice, please come find our Race Director (Richard Thorpe) and let us know you are racing.
There will be 4 rounds of "round by round" qualifying, followed by 3 leg finals for all (unless time states otherwise and it is reduced to 2 legs for all).
Control tyre on the driven axel is the Schumacher Cactus (yellow compound), and you are allowed a max of 2 set for the day. If you wish to use a second set, this is to be used in the finals only. Tyres will be marked and scrutineered.
We will have a quick drivers briefing after practice where we will cover the Do’s and Don’ts of the venue. Please ensure you attend this as important information will be given during briefing that you will need to be aware of.
We ask you to run a shock protector on your car! Please ensure you check the underside of your car for protruding screw heads before each run. If we see your car tearing the carpet due to a loose screw, we may ask you to pull off. This is all in aid of keeping the carpet in as good a condition as possible for as long as we can.
LiPo’s MUST be charged in a closed LiPo bag, no exceptions. We will be wandering the pits from time to time and if we see it, the battery will be taken off charge until a LiPo bag is located for you to use.
There is NO café on site but there will be tea, coffee, cold drinks, snacks available to purchase from the tuck shop. The facility is OK for people to bring their own food as long as it is kept low key and within the hall we are racing in. If you wish to order food from McDonalds/KFC/Subway or the like can you please eat it outside of the facility in your car or at the restaurant itself.
Smoking and Vaping is strictly prohibited within the building, so if you wish to do either you must go outside, no exceptions!
We would ask that all drivers remember to race with the respect that they wish to be given on track and treat others how they would wish to be treated. We will not tolerate dirty driving and will be watching and awarding penalties. We also ask that you marshal others how you wish to be marshalled.
Finally we would like to thank you for your support and wish you the best of luck and hope you enjoy racing with us.
