Date: Friday 30th January 2026Three of Europe’s premier swing and jazz musicians, bassist Leigh Barker, vocalist Louise Messenger & extraordinary reeds player Duncan Hemstock (all hailing originally from Australia) have joined forces to form the all-star swing band, The Intercontinentals.
This special line-up features Duncan Hemstock, Louise Messenger and showcases the London iteration of the band.
Expect The Intercontinentals signature swing, groove and globe-trotting energy that defines the band’s performances with artists like Gordon Webster, The Shirt Tail Stompers, the Hot Jazz Alliance, Branford Marsalis & The Hot Sugar Band.

The venue boasts a fantastic dance floor and a spacious stage, perfect for an unforgettable night with the full big band experience. The hall is walking distance from Witham station with good transport links to London and surrounding areas as well as a public car park opposite.

We're also delighted to welcome Dave Willis ‘The Mailman’ on the decks! Dave has been a collector of vintage music for most of his life. A fellow founding member of the Hot Club of Norwich, he has Dj’d at Nighthawks, Frisking the Whiskers, Fine City Swing, The Rhythm Riot and Hillbilly Hoedown.
