Would you like to feel deeply rested, relaxed and refreshed?Join me at the Lotus Loft on Saturday 9th November for a deeply restorative and nourishing somatics and yoga workshop.
We'll be using somatic movement practices, restorative yoga and iRest yoga nidra with a focus on "happy hips"
What does it mean to take time to truly and actively rest rather than simply checkout with some kind of distraction?
This series of Essential Rest Be Well workshops will guide you in ways to explore resting deeply, essential in today's culture of busyness.
Most of us these days feel like we lead rather ‘busy’ lives, whether working or retired, and finding a way to relax and rest actively can be hugely helpful in creating improved wellbeing, energy levels and simply feeling more at ease in ourselves. Explore ways to deeply relax the body-mind rather than oscillating between rushing around and falling asleep, or simply collapsing on the sofa and checking out with TV or social media.
At each workshop we’ll be:
* exploring somatic movement more deeply than we have time for in my weekly classes
* using the studio props for some supported restorative yoga postures
* enjoying a full iRest yoga nidra practice (a simple and accessible form of meditation)
* completing the session with time to chat and integrate your practice over a cup of tea and tasty Ayurvedic treat
Each of the workshops will stand alone as we’ll be focusing on an exploration of a different body area or theme in each workshop using somatics to release held tension and help restore comfortable movement. They will also follow on from each other somewhat as we’ll focus more deeply on a different step in the iRest yoga nidra process each time. You’re welcome to attend 1, 2 or all of the workshops.
No prior experience necessary – all welcome 😊
Other workshop series dates:
18th January ~ healthy back
15th February ~ finding ease & calm
