About this Event

Back in 2020 we had to cancel this very event because of the pandemic. After years of growth, further collaborations, and a newly formed vision, we are ecstatic to announce the revival of Esperanza!

Esperanza will be a rich and dynamic musical journey that embraces diversity and brings people together in harmony. The event will also feature the live premiere of Silver Lining, a musical story of overcoming struggle through the healing power of music. From composer David Jay, this highly-anticipated composition for guitar, strings, and choir is ready to be shared with the world.

After the concert, Early Bird "Fiesta" ticket buyers may join the performers for a Fiesta and enjoy complimentary homemade Mexican food + cocoa.


" is an award-winning guitarist and composer. He combines elements of flamenco, classical, metal, and avant-garde folk to define his own distinct style. Perfecting his use of a live-looping pedal, Jay recreates complex and dynamic soundscapes as a one-man guitar orchestra.

David Jay Sr. is the one, the only, the original Jay. His undeniable prowess unfolds as a reflection of his background as a classically trained pianist. Conquering even the most dexterously demanding compositions from Chopin and Liszt, he is a "phenomenon" on stage.

is an Edmonton-based cellist that has made a name for himself through his incredible arrangements of classical works, popular music, and film soundtracks. His videos have been viewed by millions of people and his music is streamed in 79 countries around the world.

is a Brazilian-Canadian violinist that holds a Doctor of Music degree. A founding member of the acclaimed Vaughan String Quartet, he has performed in prestigious concert halls around the world, including the Sony Centre and Walt Disney Hall.

is a versatile artist and body movement specialist. With a focus on sustainability, he intertwines movement, music, and mindfulness into a synesthetic dance for the eyes and ears.

Reece Runco is a virtuoso guitarist that brings a sterling take on instrumentation as seen in his impressive degree of cross-genre collaborative endeavors.

has been described as "Edmonton's reincarnation of Frank Sinatra and quite possibly Canada's next biggest folk/pop/jazz swing export since Michael Bublé." He recently released his debut album, "Be Alright!" which soared to #1 on CJSR and CKUA charts.

Edmonton-based Afro-fusion sensation, Melafrique, unites diverse talents from Kenya, Nigeria, Ghana, Angola, Jamaica, and Canada. Through a fusion of jazz, R&B, reggae, and neo-soul, they share vibrant musical stories, celebrating their African and Caribbean identities, inspiring the world with soulful rhythms.

performs a wide range of music ranging from gospel to jazz to pop, injecting movement, personally, and sophistication to their performances. In recent years, the group has traveled across Canada, Japan, and Europe, building international renown.

is a community choir family featuring over 50 young singers. They are recognized around the world for their innovative performances, wide-ranging repertoire, and musical excellence. They have received countless awards and have placed first in competitions both provincially and nationally.
