Introducing Evan Baggs (US/GER) official Australian debut with support from Espacio-Tiempo cofounder Luk (UY/Naarm) and talented Modulor (ESP/Naarm) warming up next Friday February 23rd at Sub Club, a night not to be missed.
Evan Baggs (US/GER) For nearly two decades, Evan Baggs has been breaking boundaries with an expansive sound on the outer edges of house and techno. The vibe is equal parts Berlin—his home since 2007—and his hometown of New York, where a diverse underground scene first inspired his unique approach to DJing and music making since 1998.
Fueled by a deep passion for record digging and an ear for undiscovered gems, Evan’s sets hint toward breaks, broken beat, electro and acid — all effortlessly mixed together. Meanwhile, his own studio productions have been released on the labels of like-minded global selectors Francesco Del Garda, Binh, Ryan Elliott, DJ Masda and many others.
Focused more on the music than the spotlight, Evan’s sustained and organic rise has earned him a loyal following amongst both discerning crowds and fellow DJs. When not in the studio or the record shop, he can be found playing at the likes of Club Der Visionaere, Fabric or Panorama Bar, and across the world from Tokyo to Tbilisi.
Modulor (ESP/Naarm) Naarm based, Basque born artist is a vinyl selector focused on playing anything from house to techno, electro to acid and breaks, as well as the gorgeous collection of ambient, downtempo and experimental. This skilled artist will be playing for Espacio Tiempo for the first time responsible for creating a special warm-up for the night.
Luk (UY/Wadagurrung) Espacio-Tiempo co-founder has been immersed in electronic music since 2001, LUK's vinyl-driven sound spans ambient, house, techno, electro, breaks and acid.
He has hosted major club events, intimate raves, all while sharing stages with international acts like Onur Özer, Nicolas Lutz, Z@P to name a few.
A timeless selector with a global perspective, stimulating the listener's senses with genre-blending gems he unearths. This space-time traveller will be in charge of heating things up before the wizard Baggs comes up to stage!
