The first hiking trip of the semester!!! We will explore the beauty of Marimetsa bog🌸
The length of the trail is 9 kilometers, which provides a good opportunity to explore different habitats: the dirt road at the beginning of the trail runs along a forest edge, later through a meadow, then through spruce trees along the bank of the Marimetsa stream and reaches the edge of the bog over Kureselja Hill. At the end of the trail there is a 7.6 m high observation tower for a nice view :)
Please make sure to register yourself and buy the ticket in our office (Pikk 20-206) to reserve a spot.

❗️ Please keep in mind: The spots are limited. Thus, first come, first served.
It will take around 3 hours to cover the area. The trail is wet at places – make sure to wear waterproof shoes/rubber boots.
There are benches for resting, an information board with a map and a scheme of the trail, so we won’t get lost!
Our bus will depart from Raatuse 22 dormitory parking lot. The bus leaves at 8:00, so please be there at 7:45.
Also, please bring your own lunch and most importantly, don’t forget to bring some water!

11:00 - Estimated arrival to Marimetsa Bog
11:10 - Hiking begins
15:30 - Estimated time to finish
18:30 - Estimated arrival to Tartu
