The experience
Theme: "The Roles We Play"
We're excited to have artist Pei-Chi Lee return with a new body of work - themed "The Roles We Play"
Immerse yourself in a sea of paper costumes of various designs created by Pei-Chi, symbolising the multifaceted roles we take on in society, particularly ESEA who may have blended to fit in. There will be oversized, theatrical poses, as we celebrate our uniqueness, and find joy in resistance.
Our model Jenny will be nestled in paper costumes and cutouts, styled by Pei-Chi.
What to bring
Paper and materials will be provided, though please bring your own if there are specific mediums you prefer.

About ESEA life drawing
ESEA Life Drawing is a life drawing class that champions ESEA (East and South-East Asian) representation in body expression. Working with collaborators and life models of ESEA background, the goal is to provide a creative space where artists feel seen and heard. We hope to provide a fresh take on what life drawing can be, where artists can nurture their creativity with others, and socialise within an informal environment.
