Join us for an evening with North Korean human rights activist and two-time escapee, Timothy Cho. Hear Timothy share his story of survival and resilience — from a homeless member of the enemy class and four imprisonments in China and North Korea to finding a life in the UK with the "freedom of faith, expression, speech and opportunity." Along with his story, Timothy will enage with difficult questions, including, "How Do You Solve Problems in Totalitarian Regimes Like North Korea?"
Reflecting on his past, he writes:
"Living in totalitarian North Korea, i didn't know who I was, what choices I had, what I loved, or what my dreasm were. The past 16 years of living in democratic Britain and pursuing education have helped me discover my identity, passions, and the values I stand for — our intrincsic democratic principles of freedom of faith, expression, speech and opportunity."
