'ERUPTION!' was launched in 2016 to stimulate interest in grassroots music within the Northeast of Scotland - and together with your help, we intend to continue showcasing just how deep and diverse the talent pool is.
We've even gradually expanded this vision over the years to include bands from the Highlands, East Coast and even Central Belt, with many making their Krakatoa debuts.
Every participating band gets a 30 minute set to impress our guest judges, who will be scoring the performances across five different categories (Material, Performance, Technical Ability, Audience Engagement and Professionalism).
Music is subjective, of course - but we’ll endeavour to ensure that the judges are as independent and objective as possible.
You can expect the winners of ERUPTION to be announced around 30 minutes after the last band finish playing - so probably around 11.30pm. Give or take. If it's any later, the judges will likely have come to blows. Phone a medic.

A nocturnal refuge for the free spirited, an incandescent Dionysian antidote to clubbing. Our NEON LOUNGE DJs will bring the party to the aftershoiw. All eras, all genres, no shits given.
