About this Event
Speaker: Claire Driver
In 2022 St John’s Green Primary School in Colchester began exploring how to make the most of the heritage around the school in preparation for their 125th birthday. Join us to find out about the One Square Mile project, some of the stories we have uncovered about this city centre school and how we are using school records as part of our local history studies. We will also hear from our school history ambassadors and oral historians about how they are involved and have a chance to view our new displays. One Square Mile is made possible through a grant from the National Lottery Heritage Fund thanks to National Lottery players.
Claire Driver is the project historian, helping teachers and children of St John’s Green School to research and tell the stories of the school and the surrounding area.
