This lecture is a special presentation done in collaboration with the Erie Canal Museum of Syracuse, NY in celebration of the Tinker Homestead & Farm Museum's 30th Anniversary, as well as the Erie Canal's 200th Anniversary.Food is the most basic building block of human life. We all need it to survive and thrive, but where does our food come from? How does it get to us? Who decides what products are available? The answers to these questions were radically transformed by the completion of the canal in 1825.
All programs are free and open to the public.
