Spend the day with LPL and the Erie Canal Museum exploring the history of the canal on its bicentennial! Enjoy family-friendly activities and climb aboard the Erie Canal Boat Seneca Chief -- a replica 1825 Canal Boat. The boat, built by volunteers at the Buffalo Maritime Center, will make a cross-canal journey beginning September 24, 2025. The boat will dock at Onondaga Lake near the Salt Museum around 12 p.m. on Oct. 4 and will remain docked through Oct. 5.
