About this Event
Join us to celebrate the release of Eric Long's new CD "Honky Tonk Wisdom". Enjoy an evening of great music featuring many talented local treasures - with a special opening set by Mission Blue!
This is the official record release show for Eric Long’s 4th studio album ‘Honky Tonk Wisdom.’Based in West Sonoma County, Eric Long blends folk, humor, country, blues and soul music with a husky voice and a straightforward approach in his songwriting - find the little nugget of truth that’s hiding in the world and let it bloom. Catch em while you can and smoke em while ya got em. Songs are made to be sung and Eric’s will have you feeling something different with every tune.
The Eric Long Band packs it in with country grooves, rhyme & blues featuring some of West counties finest musicians; Tom Relling on bass (TRB, Hibbity Dibbity, The Stone Foxes), Harry Gold on guitar, and Rhyne Erde on drums (Electric Tumbleweed, Space Orchestra, Casual Country). NPR’s All Songs Considered called Eric's voice timeless, well-traveled, and pure while Relix has written about his records simply as “easy to love.” Fans of John Prine and Jerry Jeff Walker will feel right at home with a sprinkle of an early Jimmy Buffet’s island charm. This will be a show and celebration to remember.
Tickets are $25 advance, $15 for OCA members. $5 more at the door if available. Free for kids 12 and under with paying adult. Beer, wine, refreshments for sale. Doors open at 7 PM.
