In September 2000, Eric Essix released what many have described as a career-defining album, where he consciously chose to explore and embrace his Southern musical roots. That record was SOUTHBOUND. It marked Eric’s artistic breakthrough to a global audience, showcasing his exceptional talents as a producer, arranger, composer, and guitarist. To celebrate the 25th anniversary of Southbound’s release, Eric has gathered musicians from the original Fame Studios recording session to perform songs from the album onstage, honoring this significant milestone in his career. Joining him will be Sean Michael Ray on bass, Dr. Melvin Butler on saxophone, Kelvin Wooten on keyboards and Lil’ John Roberts on drums for this celebration and musical journey through the South!
