Sunday February 9, 2025 at 4pm, The HOT L Poets Series continues at Bird in Hand (Baltimore) with poets Eric D. Goodman & Tramaine Suubi! The reading includes an open mic so bring a poem (1 poem, 3 min. or less). In our 7th season, the reading series is sponsored by Smartish Pace and Baltimore Poets Theatre. Eric D. Goodman is author of Faraway Tables (Yorkshire Publishing, 2024), Wrecks and Ruins (Loyola University's Apprentice House Press, 2022), The Color of Jadeite (Apprentice House Press, 2020), Setting the Family Free (Apprentice House, 2019), Womb: a novel in utero (Merge Publishing, 2017), Tracks: A Novel in Stories (Atticus, 2011), and Flightless Goose (Writer's Lair, 2008). He’s published over a hundred short stories, articles, and travel stories. Tramaine Suubi is a multilingual writer from Kampala, and a graduate of the Iowa Writers' Workshop. She has published creative writing in sixteen literary anthologies, magazines, journals, and reviews, including the new issue of Smartish Pace. She is the author of the full-length poetry collection, phases. Her forthcoming book is also a full-length poetry collection, stages. Both books are published by Amistad, an imprint of HarperCollins.
