19.00 = “FISK,” directed by Sebastian Wolder, 2022, 35 minutes. This 2022 film, about a haunted fisherman who catches a rotten fish one day that won’t let him go, was shot on 16mm black-and-white film stock by Hans Vest Hansen with no synchronized sound. All sound was made afterwards, as if you tried to create sound to a silent movie. It’s shown alongside “Eraserhead”, which very much inspired the spirit of “Fisk,” especially the sound design.
19.45 = “Eraserhead,” directed by David Lynch, 1977, 89 minutes.
Eraserhead is a total enigma – it defies any type of classification and seems to have been made directly out of the subconscious. It has the ambience of a dream and is deemed to be everything from a nightmare about industrial dehumanization to a post-holocaust science-fiction story to a perverse Second Coming parable … or it could be an industrial nightmare.
Ticket valid for both films.
