Join us at the Maryland Horse Library & Education Center on November 14th from 11 AM -- 4 PM for an Open House as we host Author Day, a part of this year's international EQUUS Film & Arts Festival.The day-long event feature authors from around the country showcasing their works on subjects ranging from the American Mustang, the champion Standardbred, Greyhound, children's stories, the long connection between women and horses, historical and contemporary fiction, and more. Attendees will have the opportunity for one-on-one conversation with the authors and to purchase books.
At 1:00 PM Cheryl Eriksen, author of Greyhound, The Remarkable Story of the Legendary Racehorse Who Inspired a Nation will give a presentation on the famous Standardbred's life.
Other authors scheduled to attend are; Suzy Graf (Lessons from Meerah), Karin Winegar (Horse Lovers: Unpacking the Female Fascination), Alicia Stephens-Martin (Private Mom And Silver Cowgirls series), Ashley Swink (Venator and Gradarius, The Roman Equestrian series), Sky Fisher (Fabio's Great Escape), Alexandra Wallace (children's author Emma's Adventure Stories/Liz and Libby Adventures), Ronda Gregorio (Wild Heart) and Julianne Elizabeth Neal (Congaree The Little Black Mustang from Arapaho Creek). This is an all-ages event. Admission is free and there is on-site parking.
