Join us for an exciting EquineEd event on October 5th featuring Leah Alessandroni.
Leah is the Bloodstock & Office Manager for Bonne Chance Farm, LLC. She will be speaking about Bonne Chance's international Thoroughbred operations with focus on their Kentucky based boutique operation and the benefits and challenges of running a boutique Thoroughbred breeding and racing operation. Importance of aftercare in the Thoroughbred industry and how Bonne Chance's involvement in other equine sports has inspired them to become industry leaders in Thoroughbred aftercare.

Originally from Punta Gorda, FL, Leah Alessandroni moved to Kentucky in 2008 to pursue a career in the Thoroughbred industry. She has held a variety of jobs within the industry since that time and in 2011, accepted a position at WinStar Farm as their Equine Operations Assistant. She graduated from the University of Kentucky in 2013 with a Bachelors of Science in Equine Science and Management and a minor in Agricultural Economics. In 2014 she joined Regis Farms, LP as the Bloodstock Administrator and in 2015 was happy to join the team at Bonne Chance in that same position when they acquired the farm. In 2017, Leah was named the Bloodstock and Office Manager at Bonne Chance. Leah is passionate about Thoroughbred aftercare and creating pathways for young, enthusiastic fans of horse racing to become involved in the sport. In her spare time she enjoys riding and training her OTTB, former Bonne Chance runner and G1 winner, IN LOVE (BRZ).

The EquineEd event will take place in the Kentucky Horse Park Visitor Center on Saturday, October 5th, at 12:30 pm. As always, the lectures are FREE and open to the public.
