Join us for an exciting EquineEd event on April 5th featuring David O'Connor!!Join us for an afternoon with Olympic gold medalist David O’Connor as he takes us on a journey through the history of eventing and its place in modern equestrian sport. Drawing from his 30 years of competition experience, David will share insights into the evolution of the sport, the preparation required for elite competitions like the Defender Kentucky Three-Day Event, and personal stories from his legendary career.
David O’Connor is a three-time winner of the Kentucky Three-Day Event and a three-time Olympic medalist, including Individual Gold at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. A cornerstone of U.S. eventing, he represented Team USA for 20 years at the highest levels of international competition. Beyond his competitive career, David has played a pivotal role in shaping the sport, serving as past president of the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) and currently leading as USEF’s Chief of Sport.
The EquineEd event will take place in the Kentucky Horse Park Visitor Center on Saturday, April 5th, at 12:30 pm. As always, the lectures are FREE and open to the public.
