*PREREGISTRATION IS REQUIRED! Participants only are allowed on site; someone may drop you off, but they cannot stay. Carpooling may be available with other participants (this is not guaranteed).
Monthly event held at Dove Creek Equine Rescue, Canyon, Texas.
Attendance to this is a commitment you should take seriously. Please don't register if you're not serious about attending; if you no show you take away a great opportunity for another woman Veteran in our community to heal.
Maximum attendance is 10 Women. The event will be taken down and participants contacted once that limit is achieved.
Attendees who have not previously done so will be asked to provide a DD214 or NGB-22 to prove service prior to the event.
Registrations for this event is coordinated by Yellow City Sisters in Arms Women Veterans Alliance but open to all women who have served in the US ArmedForces.
Please dress accordingly. Bring a jacket/hoodie, hat, sunglasses - whatever you may need to stay comfortable in the predicted elements for that day. We will be inside the indoor arena for most of the time, but for a small part of the time, we will be out by one of the pens with the horses. Make sure to wear closed-toed shoes like tennis shoes or boots. Please bring a refillable water bottle or something of your choice. We have a filtered water dispenser in the arena Volunteers' Room to refill as needed.
Please give yourself extra time - roughly 20-25 EXTRA MINUTES due to construction and in case of a train!
IF TRAIN IS BLOCKING THE TRACK:
1. Off HWY 60, go back East to Arnot Road (1/2 mile)
2. Turn right (South) and go until it dead ends into Gordon Cummings Road
3. Turn right (West) and go 1/2 mile
4. You will see the entrance to Dove Creek Ranch on your left (intersection of Gordon Cummings Road & City Lake Road).
