Amplify's End-of-Year Networking Event
Have you considered pursuing your dream career in the Thoroughbred horse racing industry, but don't know where to start? Maybe you want to learn more about jobs with horses or just want to build your networking abilities. This networking event for high school and college students will provide an introduction to all of this!
Inaugurated in 2022, this event gathers industry newcomers, young professionals, and field experts for a night of networking and learning about careers with horses. The evening will open with fun mingling, proceed with educational rotations, and conclude with a panel discussion led by audience questions. Here's what to expect:
Equine Careers Speed-Dating: Attendees rotate through brief, timed conversations with industry professionals about career paths.
Map Out Your Journey: Students will identify careers or equine activities that interest them, and then work with industry professionals to identify the steps they will need to take to gain the education, skills, networking, and experience necessary to pursue their desired pathway.
Mentorship Workshop: Attendees will learn about the benefits of mentorship, and how to pursue mentoring opportunities that can help them to advance their education or career.

4:15-4:25 – Introduction by Amplify team and recognition of Amplify travel grant recipients
4:25-4:40 – Breakout session 1
4:45-5:00 – Breakout session 2
5:05-5:20 – Breakout session 3
5:25-5:45 – Open questions panel
5:45-6:00 – Closing statements, final mingling
