Inclusion happens when we respect and acknowledge equality and facilitate the innate talents and capacities we all have. For the millions of people with disabilities across the world inclusion is a distant reality. Not only are the built and pedestrian environments inaccessible, countless lack meaningful access to assistive devices such wheelchairs, crutches, walking cane, hearing aids etc.
To build solutions that create inclusion, EquallyAble is launching the GiveIndependence1000 Initiative which will provide 1000 high quality wheelchairs, orthotics and prosthetics across the world.

About Assistive Devices:
According to WHO, more than 2.5 billion people need one or more assistive products globally.
- Mobility: In the 156 developing countries it is estimated that at least 131M people require a wheelchair.
- Hearing: 1.5 billion people have hearing loss, yet hearing aid production currently meets less than 10% of the global demand.
- Assitive Technology: In many countries, most people who need assistive technology do not have access to it.
