About this Event
EQUALIZE is a free, practical one-day workshop for women and gender diverse* musicians and producers. Taking place across Australia in October and November, participants will hone and develop their songwriting, production and live audio skills in a supportive, inclusive and open environment.
*Includes non-binary, trans, gender non-conforming, trans and other non-cis male gender expressions
Hone your skills in:
- Live sound with Lisa-Lane Collins: learn how to set up and mic equipment for the stage. We’ll also run through live mixing desks, and how to get the sound you want for live.
- Songwriting with : Want to write collaboratively with others? Join fellow music creators to broaden your craft by learning compositional tips and methods from some of Australia's most skilled songwriters
Each of the skill development sessions will take place in small groups, facilitated by women and gender-diverse experts in their field.
Each city will offer a combination of skill development areas, subject to facilitator availability and areas of expertise.
Schedule:
•10:20am- Acknowledgement of Country, house-keeping, event rundown

•12:30pm- Session 2 facilitator/s arrive
