The Economic Progress Institute has been a trusted partner in Rhode Island for over 26 years providing research, building coalitions, and advocating for equity-driven policy change. We turn data into action and advocate for transformational change, shaping state budgets and policies so that all Rhode Islanders, especially those most excluded from economic opportunities, can thrive. Over the years, EPI has influenced major state policies, including expanding paid family leave and childcare assistance, protecting our safety net programs, increasing the minimum wage, improving healthcare access, and promoting fair tax reforms.
