Ann Arbor, MI – LullCo Design Studio is turning six months old, and we’re celebrating in a big way with our first-ever Epic Estate Sale and Open House for our new private creative workspaces. The three-day event seeks to raise funds to support studio operations, rehome hundreds (maybe even thousands!) of items, and to welcome artists of all kinds to explore our one-of-a-kind creative art studio open to the public to use 7 days a week.
From August 29–31, visitors can shop treasures large and small for just $5 each, tour our fully equipped studio and staged private workrooms, and discover how a LullCo membership can become their new creative home base. Admission is just $5, with 100% of sale proceeds going toward our $10,000 fundraising goal to keep our programs running strong.
CALL FOR DONATIONS: August 25–28
We’re inviting the community to help make the Epic Estate Sale truly epic. We’re seeking donations of quality, yard-sale-type items: furniture, home décor, kitchenware, tools, craft supplies, and more, so long as they’re clean and in working condition (nothing broken, please). If you have stuff crowding up your space, bring it to the studio, and we will include it in our epic sale.
Donations can be dropped off at LullCo Design Studio between August 25–28. In partnership with Schleppers Haul-A-Way, after the sale ends, we’ll make sure that any items not sold will be given to organizations and individuals who need them. Our goal is to keep 100% of these donations out of the landfill!
Filling the Gap in Ann Arbor’s Creative Landscape:
When Joann Fabrics closed its area stores, a major resource for local makers, particularly textile artists, disappeared. With no more in-person resources to buy, LullCo Design Studio has stepped up to fill that gap by offering a wide range of fabrics, sewing notions, craft supplies, tools, foam, batting, and more, all under one roof. Not only can you buy your goods here, you can set up on the floor and work on your projects, right here in the studio!
LullCo Design Studio is more than just a supply source, it’s a place to spread out, make a mess, and be as creative as you want, with hands-on support included while you work, when you need it most. Whether you’re quilting, weaving, fixing a furniture project, printing large-format posters, cutting vinyl, heat pressing apparel, or pursuing another creative discipline, we’ve got the space and tools to help you make it happen.
Membership & Private Studios:
Memberships: $25/hour, $100/day, $200/week, $300/month, cancel anytime. Includes access to the studio floor, tools, and guidance from our experienced team, 7 days a week, 9am - 6pm. (later hours to come in the near future!)
Private Studios: $600–$800/month, staged for quilting/sewing, weaving/fiber arts, and tech/printing — or fully cleared out for you to use how you please (monthly/annual options only.)
Members enjoy hands-on support with projects and tools, making LullCo a uniquely supportive environment for artists, designers, and craftspeople.
