Dungeons & Dragons enthusiasts are invited to embark on an unforgettable adventure on Saturday, Jan. 17, from 1–5 p.m. at North Elm Collective, 410 N. Elm St., Troy.
Players will journey into the legendary Kryptgarden Forest, where the ancient green dragon Claugiyliamatar faces a pivotal choice: ally with the Cult of the Dragon—or be stopped by a band of courageous heroes.
Heroes of Faerûn, unite! Pre-generated characters and character sheets will be provided, making this event welcoming to both seasoned adventurers and newcomers alike. Players are encouraged to bring their own dice, though dice will also be available.
Tickets are $20 per person, with limited spots available for players ages 12 and up. This special “EPIC” D&D game offers a one-of-a-kind collaborative experience and supports a meaningful cause. Tickets can be purchased at welovebirthdayparties.square.site.
All proceeds benefit We Love Birthday Parties (WLBP), a local nonprofit dedicated to ensuring that children experiencing hardships in Miami and Montgomery Counties are celebrated on their birthdays. Through partnerships with community centers, shelters, afterschool programs, foster families, and case workers, WLBP provides birthday parties and birthday boxes—spreading joy and reminding every child that they matter.
In addition to this special event, regular D&D games are held at North Elm Collective on Thursdays from 6:30–8 p.m.(adults and teens) and Sundays from 2–4 p.m. (pre-teens and teens). These weekly Dragon Games are led by local psychiatrist Phillip Hash, DO, PhD, who serves as Dungeon Master, guiding players as lawful “good guys” in a safe, inclusive environment. Participants build friendships while developing skills such as teamwork, critical thinking, and strategic problem-solving.
