EPEC Donation Drive at Jules!

Too Long; Didn't Read:
Please bring us your stuff for a really important cause! ;)
The last few years we have had an amazing turnout for our Share a Snuggle Sunday and EPEC Donation Drive. It has been truly heartwarming just how much we are able to take to the Eastern Panhandle Empowerment Center* (EPEC) - last year we even had to rent a Uhaul to transport the amazing load.
This year, our goal is to top even that! EPEC is in need of donations and greatly appreciates anything you can bring. They're an amazing organization who helps families every day, so we're going to do our best to help them in every way we can.
2024 Plans!
We love Warmies. The snuggleable, huggleable, warmable, chillable cuddlies! They're one of our favorite things. Heck, they're even one of Oprah's favorite things! ;) We think everyone should have one. So, on Share a Snuggle Sunday, for every Warmie you buy, we'll donate a Warmie to one of our favorite organizations: EPEC! Stop by Jules Enchanting Gifts & Collectables on Sunday, December 1st, to cross off names on your Christmas list, and know you're doubling the number of smiles they create! (Yes, you can shop online if you can't get here in person.) :)
While we're doing our Share a Snuggle drive on December 1st, we invite you to bring us your donations. We'll take it all to EPEC on Giving Tuesday to be distributed to people who could definitely use a reason to smile.
For the donation drive we're taking just about everything:
Specific requests from EPEC:
Household items:
- space heaters
- air mattresses
- cleaning products (including detergent, hand soap, disinfectant wipes or cleaners, etc)
- blankets and sheets
- towels
- pillow cases
- pillows (new, not used)
Hygiene items:
- deodorant
- razors
- shampoo
- conditioner
- body wash
- toothpaste/brushes
- baby wipes
- diapers (all sizes)
- paper products (toilet paper and paper towels)
Food items:
- canned food
- microwavable meals (non-perishable)
- cereal
- peanut butter
- macaroni and cheese
- bread
- water/soda (bottled or jugs)
And all sizes of sweatshirts, jackets, socks, gloves, hats as we move into winter.

Beyond that:
Clothes
- Clean out your closets and bring us a bag or seven (or, you know, those bags you cleaned out of the closet but have never actually left your house) ;) All sizes, all genders, all ages.
- Stop at the dollar store or Ollie's or Gabe's, etc, and grab a pack or 3 of socks or underwear.
Personal Care Items
- ALL products are needed.
- One of my favorite donations: Feminine Hygiene Products. Unfortunately pads and tampons are one of the first things that get crossed off a list when people are low in funds. When it's a choice between feeding their kid and buying a pack of tampons, food wins. Whenever possible I add a pack of pads or tampons (or a big cheap box from Costco) to my cart for EPEC.
Any and all Cleaning Supplies.
Household Goods and Small Appliances
- EPEC often helps people start over, so if you haven't used your toaster since you got a new toaster oven, or were gifted with new pots and pans and still have the old ones hanging around ...
EPEC is very good about finding someone in need to share their donations with, and they work with other organizations too, so bring anything you have to give, and we’ll make sure it goes where it’s needed, even if they can’t use it. :)
Have questions or want to arrange a donation drop off? Just shoot us a message and we'll do our best to help make it happen.
Want to make a donation but don't have time to shop? We have a jar on the counter for donations that will be turned in to the most requested items. :)
Not in a position to make a donation this year? We completely understand. Go ahead and share this event, maybe someone you know will be able to.
Thank you to EPEC for the work they do, and we hope to see you at Share a Snuggle Sunday! We always appreciate that our community is so generous!
