As we approach the four year anniversary of the floods that devastated the Northern Rivers region, a new Lismore-based band, The Black Cockatoos, are launching their EP 'After The Floods', that singer-songwriter Andy Parks says is a homage to Lismore and what it’s been through. We’re enormously grateful that the Saturday 7 March show at The Blah Bar will be a Resilient Lismore fundraiser, supporting our ongoing work alongside the community as recovery continues. Mongrel will also be playing on the night.
The Black Cockatoos describe themselves as ‘rustic rock’.
"The Blah Bar in Lismore’s Back Alley is such a groovy space, decked out with second hand furniture and equipment that can be quickly moved if there’s a flood warning, then hosed down and re-opened soon after."
- Andy Parks of The Black Cockatoos.
We hope you'll join us at this meaningful gig to hear the song for the first time from 7PM at 25 Eggins Ln, Lismore, on Widjabul Wia-bal Country.
Tickets are $15 - Waged and $10 non-workers and is cash ONLY on the door.
