Are you interested in learning more about your local environment? Do you want to help restore its health? Are you interested in an environmental or scientific career?Together for Nature helping Audubon Great Lakes recruit diverse participants as they lead groups in restoring the natural habitat at the Greenbelt Forest Preserve. You will be able to learn about local plants and their ecosystems while you engage in various restoration activities like removing invasive species, planting native species, collecting seeds, and more! Activities will vary per event.
Make sure to dress for the weather and come prepared with outdoor boots, thick loose pants, and long-sleeved shirts, sweaters, or jackets. All people interested in joining RSVP at bit.ly/poclc or email togetherfornatureil@gmai l.com. The event lead speaks Spanish, so it will be a bilingual event. This is a family event!
