Welcome to the Environmental Heritages and Futures of the North East Conference!

Date: December 13-14, 2024

Location: Durham University & Ushaw House

Join us for a two-day event filled with exciting discussions and presentations on the environmental heritages and futures of the North East region. This event brings together community and academic experts and stakeholders to discuss common interests and projects in environmental history, sustainability, conservation, and the future of our environment. The event will take the form of a hybrid conference and workshop, with a mix of panels on Friday and Saturday morning alongside an afternoon session wherein interested participants can join "action groups" to put together mission statements for future funding bids and projects. The event will be split between the University of Durham campus on the first day and the historic Ushaw House on the second day (with transportation options provided).
