Join the Schaumburg Environmental Committee at the annual conservation and sustainability fair from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 2 at Schaumburg Township District Library, 130 S. Roselle Rd.Learn from landscape professional Sue Cubberly how to design and plant your own rain garden to absorb excess rainwater. Participants can bring photographs of their yards for a personal consultation. Exhibitors representing local environmental organizations will also be on hand to share information and answer questions about their programs and projects.
Coloring and activity books will be provided for children. Participants can enter a drawing for a free rain barrel and test their knowledge with rain garden trivia.
