Friday 25th October 2024 | 10.15am - 4.15pm | £70Entrelac crochet uses linked stitches to create a chequerboard effect fabric. This looks very similar to the Tunisian crochet simple stitch but uses a standard length crochet hook.
The technique is worked in rows of square blocks, and each block is completed using linked stitches before moving on to the next one. It can be worked in a single colour, but using different colours for each row or round of blocks will make the most of the interesting construction. On the day we will work through the basic techniques beginning with a sample swatch in rows, then move on to make a cowl design in the round.
Skills we aim to cover - working linked stitches, working in the round and rows and changing colour.
You will need - 1 x 4.5mm or 5mm hook, locking stitch markers, scissors and a yarn needle.
There are 10 places on this workshop.
