About this Event
Why we need you!
During this event, from November 30th to December 9th, you will have the chance to participate in a study examining art viewing experiences in the National Gallery. With your help, we seek to identify ways that art can be used as a tool to promote individual health and well-being.
What we need from you:
You will be asked to look at particular artworks at the National Gallery and answer a short survey (before and after viewing the art) about the artwork and your experience. Admission into the National Gallery is free, and we will direct you to the artwork(s) we would like you to look at. We anticipate that your visit to the National Gallery and completion of the survey will take approximately 30 to 45 minutes.
After completing this study, you are more than welcome to explore the National Gallery and its collections.
As a thank you for your time, you will receive a National Gallery entrance ticket to the Winslow Homer: Force of Nature exhibition sponsored by the University of Vienna, which will be valid for entry for one hour after completing your participation. We recommend that you plan extra time to enjoy the exhibition.
How to participate:
You must be 18 years old or over, have normal or corrected to normal vision, and be fluent in English to participate in this study.
Further info:
Your participation in this study is entirely voluntary, and you can terminate your participation in the study at any time without giving any reason and without any negative consequences to you.
If you decide to withdraw from the study, please feel free to explore the National Gallery or leave (the decision is yours).
