Celebrate Goddesses and Costumes with us! Exhibit opening, tarot and poetry readings Sunday, Oct. 6, 2024 from 1-4 PM.The gods have had their era... now the Goddesses take center stage! Join us at the Los Angeles Makery to celebrate Goddesses in their many forms. October 3- 27, 2024 in the main gallery at 260 S. Los Angeles St, LA, CA 90012. Exhibit curated by A. Laura Brody of Opulent Mobility.
Goddesses have been with us since the beginning of recorded history. They embody love, birth, death, forgiveness, jealousy, rage, and self-knowledge; and they command our imagination and senses. In a time full of war, pain, poverty, climate destruction, and denial of human and earthly dignity it is well past time to embrace Goddess nature once more. We delight in sharing our versions of Goddess with you.
In the Sub-terra Gallery experience The Fantastical World of Costume Wearable Art. Wearable art represents the thrilling intersection of fashion and art. It is a testament to human creativity and the endless possibilities of self-expression through what we wear, artists work with the physics of the human body in motion, embracing individual expression and rejecting mass production. These pieces are not just clothing; they epitomize the artist's unique vision and make bold statements about culture, politics, and society. Exhibit curated by Lisa Tomczeszyn and A. Laura Brody.
