Taking paths less travelled, rejecting labels, and embracing music as an exchange—Des Équilibres nurtures the ambition of creating a multi-layered dialogue through its artistic project. This dialogue unfolds between musicians from different backgrounds, aesthetics, and across artistic disciplines. Founded in 2006 by violinist Agnès Pyka, who continues to serve as its artistic director, Des Équilibres is a variable-geometry ensemble.Remaining true to its pioneering spirit, Des Équilibres explores new creative territories while maintaining a strong connection to tradition. From the classical era to contemporary works, the ensemble embraces the full spectrum of chamber music, with a particular focus on rare or previously unrecorded pieces.
