About this Event
Wisdom teachings encourage us to look deeply and with love into our experience, with all its complexities, challenges and contradictions. When we approach our existence with kindness and courage, innumerable facets of this human heart are gradually unveiled. There may be liberating insights, small and big, into how we can relate to life in more skilful, fearless, compassionate and creative ways. The moments of our life become richer as we can begin to discover our innate potential for compassion, openness, love, and joy.
During our day together we will begin to explore what it might mean to recognize, inhabit and embody our insights and understanding and thus to align more fully with what we hold dear and feel passionate about.
There will be meditation instructions, guided practices and reflections.
Kirsten Kratz
Kirsten Kratz has practised Buddhist meditation in Asia and the West since 1993. She
started teaching in 2006. Since 2008 she offers group retreats at Gaia House where she also
supports those on long term personal retreat. (https://gaiahouse.co.uk). One of her
particular passions is exploring how wisdom teachings can foster appropriate responses to
the challenges of our time. She is co-initiator of the Dharma Action Network for Climate
Engagement: DANCE. Faced with the inadequate responses to the unfolding
climate emergency and mass extinction Kirsten decided in recent years to get involved in
nonviolent actions of civil disobedience in Germany and the UK.
