About this Event
The Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) is a day and a half course designed to provide core-level knowledge and skills associated with the delivery of professional emergency nursing care to the pediatric patient. Students will complete online modules after reviewing the textbook prior to coming to class. Utilizing a flipped classroom model, students will engage in learning activities related to Initial Assessment, Triage, Fever, Vomiting, Altered Mental Status, Unexplained Limp and Behavioral Health Concerns. Practical Skill stations address children with respiratory, trauma and medical complaints. Contact hours are provided by the Emergency Nurses Association.
Participants: It is recommended that nurses have at least 6 months of experience in assessing and treating pediatric patients prior to attending the course.
