About this Event
Join us for Cranstoun’s Enhanced Overdose Management Training, a hands-on and interactive programme designed specifically for professionals working with children and young people. This training is crafted to meet international standards, ensuring top-quality and best practices in naloxone training.
Why Choose Our Training?
Currently, there is no universal or accredited naloxone training programme in England. In contrast, both Ireland and Scotland have established successful models that support naloxone distribution and access to support services. Cranstoun’s Enhanced Overdose Management Training aims to bridge this gap by providing a comprehensive and high-standard training experience.
What to Expect
Our training packages have been meticulously reviewed by our harm reduction lead, clinical lead, and medical director to align with best practices.
Facilitators, who work within young people drug and alcohol services and have completed courses in basic life support and overdose management skills, will guide you through the essentials of overdose management. This includes practical, hands-on sessions where you will learn how to deliver rescue breaths, chest compressesions and administer naloxone to manage potential overdoses effectively.
Our training sessions are designed to be interactive and engaging, providing you with the opportunity to practice and refine your skills in a supportive environment. You will participate in realistic scenarios and role-playing exercises that mimic real-life situations, helping you to build confidence and competence in overdose management.
