About this Event
Literary criticism is a type of evidence in advanced essay writing that is often encouraged, but seldom explained. Quoting and using literary critics in your English analyses can give greater credibility to your writing and display a depth of contextual understanding that markers are looking for.
This 1.5hr workshop will help students build their own personalised method for researching, interpretting and using literary critics and criticism. OpenWisdom English Team Leader Paul Kim will take Advanced and Extension English students through practical workshop activities that simulate the pre-writing process of decoding and digesting pieces of literary criticism, as well as how to incorporate the material into your own writing.
